Brelyn McDonald is a 2023 graduate of the Wake County Early College of Health and Sciences with a 4.35 GPA. She was an active participant in many organizations during her high school career. Her activities included the NAACP Youth Council where she was an advocate for civil rights and social justice. She served as Chapter President and National Vice President with responsibility for youth advocacy and volunteerism in the Top Teens of America. Brelyn was also a member of the UNC Rex VolunTeen Program where she participated in health sciences volunteerism.
She has decided to attend the University of North Carolina—Charlotte where her intended major will be to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, with a goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. Her interest in the nursing profession is driven by family experiences and strong modeling by her mother and aunt.
